Getting Started

From sign-up to your first GEO score in under three minutes. Add a URL, read the per-dimension findings, fix the gaps, and re-score to track your progress.

Create an account

Sign in with Google — no credit card required. New accounts start with free credits, enough to run your first GEO analysis. To keep going you subscribe to a monthly plan; see Credits & Plans for how that works.

Add your first URL

Getting your first score takes three steps:

1

Add your URL

From the dashboard, create a project with any public page URL. Optionally add a brand name and target keywords so the AI simulation is tailored to how your brand appears in answers.

2

Get your GEO score

Citera crawls and analyses the page, then returns a 0–100 GEO score with a breakdown across all 5 dimensions — usually within a minute or two.

3

Fix the gaps & re-score

Apply the specific findings, then re-score the page to confirm the improvement. Every re-score is saved to your history so you can track changes over time.

Read your GEO score

The headline number is a weighted average of the 5 dimensions. Under it, each dimension shows its own score and a list of findings. A finding always pairs an issue (what's holding the page back) with a fix (the exact action to take). Dimensions scoring 80 or above are considered strong and usually have no findings.

See GEO Score for a full breakdown of what each dimension measures and how it's weighted.

Fix the gaps & re-score

Work through the findings starting with the lowest-scoring dimensions — they move the headline score the most. When you've made changes, hit Re-score Page to run a fresh analysis. To go beyond the score and see whether AI engines actually mention you, run an AI Simulation.
